It's not all of them.
Just the ones who insist on shoving their belief system (or non-belief system as the case may be) down your throat until you agree with them that they are totally and completely right, how could you have been such an ignorant fool for so long, blah, blah, blah.
I'd have to hazard a guess that for every annoying athiest there are a few hundred who keep it quietly to themselves.
And for every annoying Christian, there are several thousand who are decent, respectable, not-annoying people.
If you can avoid these annoying twits, do so for your own peace of mind. But if you can't get away from them, say at school or at work, just say that you do not want to get into a discussion about that subject right now. Then walk away. If they follow you, go to your boss or a teacher and tell him or her that you are having trouble concentrating on your work because this person won't take "no" for an answer.

Christians are annoying because for centuries they've been trying to forcing people to believe as they do. They have even killed millions to get their point across; I should know I'm a Native American. We were called savages and massacred because we didn't believe and wouldn't give up our religions that we had that are older than Christianity itself.
Atheists are annoying because they can be and know they won't be punished for it because they have no god.

Are you an easily annoyed person or do you just like to go where their are people who annoy you?
Answer this and you are on the way to fixing the problem!
If you are annoyed easily, you should ignore the people who are bothering you.
Otherwise avoid this place of annoyance!

Everyone kind of people regardless of their beliefs have annoyances. You got to look at the individuals... (Check out my answer to why do atheists and Christians always argue?) Not all Christians are that way and not all atheists either...

I think anyone who tries to shove their way down other people's throats, without and regard for why that person might believe what they do is pretty annoying. I do think it's nice when people can get together and calmly and intelligently have a discussion about their different opinions.

Christains aren't annoying... neither are Atheists. those religions may seem annoying to you... but not to others. you shouldn't insult people like that. and if you are, then why are you on the relgion section of the site?

As long as those who answer these questions are unwilling to compassionately stand in each other's shoes, the answers will be annoying (especially to highly opinionated people).

not all christians are the same, as goes for the athiests. Some christians dont care if you believe in the same things as them, and some athiests can be supportive in a faith matter.
