It just keeps signing out and then signing back in again, every now and then. Even during the middle of conversations, which is now beginning to get me cheesed off. I have a PC and messenger is set to no proxies with firewall, (mainly because of the firewall). Can anyone suggest any potential fixes without retrograding to v7? Thanks.

i had the same problem. make sure the old version of the messenger is uninstalled. the 2 versions can not exist together. this solved my problem and now the messenger is staying on! if you use the beta version on a mac., put the old version in the trash bin. hope this helps.

try to down load it abain and when it does it will pick up that you all ready have it and over wright it with the correct program
