g not a demon, just not G... Commandment is to have no other god before him, not that there are none.
Anyway, theres the difference between El and Elohim where context (surrounding conjugations and sentences) explain difference between god gods or God god. Capitalising is just an English convention because it's a proper name (can't use the real names without sinning)

"god" is a noun, as in "Zeus was a god". "God" is an entity, as in "God healed his wounds".
