So I'm in the market for a TV no smaller than 60". It has to be plasma, and I would like to keep my budget under $3000. Any ideas?

A plasma screen that big is going to be very heavy and power-hungry. I suggest you look at the Sony SXRD rear projector LCD. A major reason for going to a projector for screens that size is that they are available with full 1920x1080 resolution, while the plasmas are still in the 1280x720 region. It is when you get to big screen that the higher resolution really makes a difference.

I don't think that is possible unless you get a used one some where. You should try that um whats it called Kelly's list online there is all kinds of stuff on that. If you find one for that amount I think there is going to be something wrong with it. We just bought a 65 inch tv last year and it wasn't a plasma and it was almost $3000. It was just a plain big screen from Good Guys.

I'm afraid that's not going to be possible. Most 60" and up plasmas start at $7,500.00 for the upcoming Pioneer Purevision PDP-6070HD and up to $10,000 for the upcoming 65" Panasonic Viera TH-65PX600U.

Your only solution to a good reliable big screen is the HP Pavilion MD6580N which is a 65" MDRPHDTV {Micro Display Rear Projection HDTV} DLP Which sell for as low as $2,899.99 from either http://www.jr.com and/or http://www.onecall.com

if you find a 60" plasma for less than 7000$ it won't last more than 5 or 6 years. i'm afraid your out of luck there. you can get a 60" rear lcd projection tv for 3000$ or under.the tv i linked below was 2700$ last week. and it's a sony.
