Isn't that supposed to happen to women and not men? My stomach isn't that large and it doesn't protrude-- although I am about 10 pounds overweight. Instead, my thighs have become very wide. I don't like the way that it looks. If I lose the weight, will my thighs become less wide? I mean, they're not really, really wide... just wider than the rest of my torso. It really doesn't look that attractive when I'm wearing a bathing suit-- I learned that the hard way at one of my friends' pool parties. I'm usually not that self-conscious about my body, but when I looked at it, I was forced to suck in my... whole upper body, and it wasn't very comfortable.
How do I make this go away? Should I just try to lose the extra 10 pounds I'm carrying around? Will the size of my thighs become normal?

Its more common for women to gain weight there first, but that doesnt mean it cant happen to a man. I am a woman & I actually gain weight around the stomach first, like alot of men.

Dont try to spot reduce, add some cardio into your daily routine and the extra pounds shoudl come off.

It is common for people to gain weight in their thighs (or rear) before they do so in their stomach, especially when it comes to women. Each person's body is different. The only solution is to lose the pounds.

some people pack it away differently than others. most men will store it in their gut first and then spread outwards while women will pretty much get it all over. as the weight sheds then yes your thighs will reduce is size. since you know this know you may want to start focusing more on your legs or lower body workouts from now on.

Every body is different. Fat accumulates in one place or another, depending on your chemistry and DNA. Some people gain in their stomach first, some in their boobs (men), some thighs, etc. You may possibly have a slight overbalance of female, vs male hormones (yes, we alll have them). Ask a Doctor for advice about seeing a specialist, if it bothers you that much.
