So what if he freaks out! He didn't freak out while he was being stupid and having sex with a minor! Your biggest concern should be your plans about your pregnancy and the life after delivery, if you should choose that route, and informing your parents! A box of condoms are only about $6! A lot cheaper than raising a child! You should of spent your allowance on that !!!

Stop making such a big deal out of their age difference, everyone! 4 years is not a big deal. He's only 18, he's basically still a kid.
I lost my virginity when I was 15 to a 19 year old, not a big deal.
And, NO, her boyfriend is NOT a pervert. 18 is still very young, and even though someone who is 18 is considered an adult by law, it doesn't mean they are. They are still an immature teen barely out of highschool.
You wouldn't think it's weird if a 20 year old were with a 24 year old, so what's wrong with a 14 year old and an 18 year old?
I think that sometimes TOO much blame is put on men. Obviously if the girl WANTS to have sex, it's her fault too. Why should the man be punished? When I was 14, all my friends were having sex...If they are going to have sex ANYWAY, no matter WHAT, why not with a guy who's a bit older?
Sometimes you have to think outside of the "law". It's not just about laws...It's about what's right and wrong, and laws aren't always right.
Can you honestly say it's alright for a 55 year old man to be with an 18 year old girl? NO, it's NOT right. That's perverted, but NOT against the law. So many men have young girlfriends who are fresh out of highschool, and nobody critisizes them yet they critisize this stupid situation? Wow.
So lay off the boyfriend, and just have an abortion. You're obviously not ready for a baby and it was obviously a MISTAKE which should be ABORTED.

Okay, I hate to tell you this, but you made a mistake. It's okay, though, you can pull through this. You have to calmly tell your parents about this. Don't care if they are angry or "disappointed" in you; it is a necessity to tell them. Of course, the father will freak out. Your parents could sue him, he could go to jail. What he did was irresponsible and illegal.
You now have a couple options: abortion, putting the kid up for adoption, or keeping the kid. It all depends on what your parents think, what you think, your emotional state, and financial state.
Don't hide it from the father. Tell him as soon as possible. I think it is best to tell him face-to-face in a fairly private but safe area. Make sure you are safe, that he won't attack you or anything like that. Just sit him down and tell him you have something important to tell him. Then just say it. Like I said, take precaution, because a big part is your own safety. Choose a safe environment, where you can get away if need be.
If he's sweet and takes it with stride (like I hope for you) then it will go well.
No matter what, if he's sweet or not, do not expect him to stay around. It would be just great if he did, but do not count on it. They don't usually stay, but they do have to pay child support.
If you both have strong feelings for each other, it may work out for the best and you may marry.
I really hope it all works out. If you need any help, there are plenty of phone networks for pregnant teenagers. There are always people who can help you. Just ask around. Someone will always help.
I wish you the best of luck. Take care. If you really need someone's help, my email is cadence_lost@yahoo.com. Okay?

Yes he will freak out, because he will go to jail if that is his child. What I would do is tell your parents than an 18 year old is the father. They should know what to do about it. I know I would. Don't try to protect him because he is preying on you because you don't know any better. I feel sorry for you and I hope you realize it isn't cool to be pregnant at 14. I also hope you realize that you will be raising that child alone. Any person that would sleep with a 14 year old isn't responsible enough to take care of their child. You might not like the facts but they are just that, facts.

If he freaks, he freaks. This is about you not him. He will not carry the baby, have it and take care of it... you will have to do this. His life is not going to change all that much... yours will. And he is an adult and had no business haviing sex with you. Did he know you were 14? Didn't either of you think about birth control? Make sure the docs test you for STDs. Do your parents know yet? They can have him arrested for startutory rape and he can do 18 to 24 months in jail along with the courts forcing him to pay you child support. Before you think I am being harsh, I really am not. What is harsh is that this man had sex with a child, got her pregnant and basically altered the rest of her life in a way that will limit her opportunities, shorten her life span and doom another child, your baby, to a life in a single parent home. So I would not be so worried about if he freaks. He should be worried about what is going to happen to him when your parents find out.

First, tell your parents and you can decide as a family what the best course of action. After all you are a minor and this baby will be there responsibility as well as your, plus lets be honest, a 18 year old sleeping with a 14 year old is not going to step up to the plate and play dad after he gets out of jail

Tell your parents, if you don't feel comfortable telling them go to someone else you trust. Be your school nurse, counselor, a teacher you are friends with. Your bestfriend or even a hotline.
But you do need to tell the father. You may never know if you don't tell him. I grew up without knowing my real father I still don't. I know that if I could have I would have loved to have my real father, but it turns out I never will. You can try, if he does flip out on you give him time and try going back to him again. You might be suprised at how he acts, he might just want to be in the baby's life or he may not. If not get help from someone then.
Hope this helps!

Tell your parents first. I know this will probably be very hard for you, but you have to do it. If you tell him first, he will just want to hide the fact from your parents because he'll know he's very much in the wrong. I don't care how streetwise you are, he took advantage of you. This is a big age gap at your age. It would be different if you were 20 and he was 24. I hope it all works out as well as it can for you.

What I always do when I am dealing with bad situations or ones that I am afraid of the outcome, I just tell myself, "Okay, this is the worst way this could go......." then I prepare myself for it and once I tell the other person, I am already ready for the worst so it isn't a shock to me and it doesn't hit me that hard. Plus it's a great surprise when it goes better than I thought it would. But you have to tell him. It's the first step to being a parent is making sure you are covering your child on all sides. Giving him/her the best life that he/she could possibly have.
