No. The goal is to solve the issue while still maintaining the rest of the relationship. A good way to lose your partner is to stop having sex with them.
If you have an anger management problem and feel undervalued, talk about THE ISSUE and don't create additional issues.

My ex did....he'd do the whole withhold sex and affection thing that usually women do.
(*shrug*) I liked it better when he included not talking to me in "the punishment"...it was like a mini-vacation.
