When they give you that look, and you have absolutely no clue what they are talking about, as though you are in trouble for something, something you obviously must already know and they say, "...you know 'what I mean' ".

You say, "What?"

She says, "You know..."

You say, "Huh?"

She says, "Don't act dumb".

And actually, you are not acting dumb. You just "don't know"!!!!!!

Being too "clingy" is a turnoff for many guys (and by the way: there is no definitive set of turnoffs for guys; each guy is an individual and may or maynot be turned off by some of the things you read are turnoffs for guys). Give the guy some space: let him have his "guys night out" and hangout with the homies once in a while. Smothering the guy makes him fight back to get his space back, and ends up hurting you.

Comparing the guy with past lovers is a bad idea too (just like you wouldn't like to be compared with his ex-girlfriends).

Don't drag the guy around like a showdog in a dogshow, if he doesn't want to socialize with your friends all the time.

These are some general tips.

being too girlie
being too high maintenance
holding a grudge and making us guess why
constantly changing their mind
nagging, nag nag nag
complain about petty things that happened at work
complain about petty fights with their girlfriends

Those are the main things that bug me. But, overall, girls are wonderful.
