On the box of my CHI hair straightener it says that the CHI can also be used to flip out the ends of my hair, make it wavy, or curly. I was wondering if anyone uses their CHI for this and how you do it??

I have seen a hair stylist do it on long hair and that is by putting the iron close to the root and then pulling it to the end of the hair and then twisting it around the finger. It is hard to describe, but that is what the stylist did. On a short hair, you just turn the angle of the iron and that creates a curl.

OK im a stylist and all i can say is practice practice practice.........you bend your hair around it as if it was a curling iron........watch out for the ends....i dont find that the chi works well for that but to flip your hair out on bottom just glide down and bend up ward at the last few inches creating a flip.good luck.keep playing with it.......oh ya never wind your cord around the chi just let it hang naturally. cheers.

Chi is pure enrgy, so sitting in a lotus position, with your legs crossed, with your hands resting lightly on your knees, breathe into your tan tien and imagine energy coming from all over thru your head(hair) imagine it swirling (curly) down to your tan tien and then as you exhale out thru your hands.. Now, it usally takes a couple of years for this to work and become proficient at it so here is and added step to help you get started with extra (added) energy. as you sit in the above stated position with your back against the wall, as you breathe in, stick your finger in the electrical socket.
If it works let me know.
