Your question sort of mixes apples with oranges. Almost all of the illegal immigrants have very little education, speak little or no English and can only perform manual labor. The people of India however, are often highly educated (especially in science, math and computers) speak English (though with some accent) and can easily learn the technical jobs we outsource to them. Yours is a good question - I'm sure we have some outsourcing in Mexico and other Latin American countries - there are just not enough people in these areas to do these jobs.

Personally, I think that outsourcing should be outlawed! We need to keep jobs in this country as there are too many United States citizens who are going without.
There’s no doubt that the people who come here from Mexico to work are very hard-working people and they do take on jobs that most United States Citizens apparently do not seem to want to take. However, it makes one wonder why such jobs would not be offered to our growing number of homeless people in order to assist them to regain a degree of dignity, productivity and some hope for security. This would certainly keep revenues within our country! I personally feel that it’s a disgrace that certain factions in this country prefer to take care of everyone else before taking care of our own!
It is not up to the United States to create jobs in Mexico, or any other country for that matter. We really need to create more jobs for our own citizens, in our own country, as long as homelessness and joblessness exists in the United States. What is the Mexican government doing to create jobs for their own citizens? I think it is time that the Mexican government should take more responsibility in this matter. Hundreds of millions of dollars are siphoned to Mexico from the United States every year by illegal workers. Where is all that money going and what is Mexico doing with it? It's nothing less than economic vampirism. The people of Mexico deserve so much more from their own government.

You alredy do that, especially after NAFTA. Look at the labels in your clothing next time you shop at Walmart; many of the things you buy are made south of the border, some in Mexico, some elsewhere. That's outsourcing too.

Businesses do outsource to Mexico, but Mexico is a country fraught with corruption and their people in authority squeeze the companies for payoffs. Its the reason Mexico isn't an industrialized country to the degree that they could be in the first place.

Ironically, many more people in India speak English than the Mexicans in Mexico speak English. English is the only way to communicate in India between multiple communities because the dialects are all different and even Indians cannot understand each other without English.
Strange, isn't it?
So, why not use tit to our advantage?
Of course, along with that comes the ability to write software for computers, to write stops for trading in the e-minis and the ability to speak directly to China...
Hmmm...
either way, we're hosed...

Salaries in Mexico are much higher than in India, and the pool of highly trained, university educated workers is smaller. Keep in mind that India has about a billion people almost and a very high rate of educatiion, plus they mostly speak English.

Nice idea actually, but I think the endemic corruption of Mexican local/federal politics (not to mention the gangs that control everything else) would be a big reason not to. Every year the pay-offs they demand for rent and protection would increase until it's not financially viable to work in Mexico. The American company moves out and the Mexican government gets a free, fully stocked building.

Ya gata speak English. I think outsourcing is crap either way. I HATE calling AT&T for anything, as they outsource to India. 1/2 of the time I get someone named "Bob" (yeah right) who is reading out of a book. Yes, I can tell that he is reading out of a book because I asked him to explain himself and he kept repeating himself. Why they pick American names gets me too. I know they are in India, I asked. Just give me your real name.

That's a good point, first and foremost jobs should be in America, and your right outsourcing would solve the so-called immigration "problem."

No matter who we outsource to, there will be abuse of employees. Besides, China under bids Mexico.
We need free trade with Mexico and Canada but NOWHERE ELSE.
