She's a Lady.
Or, there was a song in the late eighties called "Oh Daddy" by Adrian Belew. I thought it would be a good one for a gal to dance to with her father.

I think the John Fogerty song "Joy of My Life" would be nice. It's short, simple and sweet. Here are the lyrics:
Joy Of My Life
by John Fogerty
album: Blue Moon Swamp (1997)
I tiptoed in the room
I know you got to have your rest
She says, 'Come lay beside me,
I've been waitin' since you left'
She's sweet to me
Must be the luckiest man alive
And did I tell you baby
You are the joy of my life
First time that I saw you
Ooh, you took my breath away
I might not get to heaven
But I walked with the Angels that day
She takes me by the hand
I am the luckiest man alive
And did I tell you baby
You are the joy of my life
Some may have their riches
Some may have their worldly fame
Long as I have you
I'll treasure each and every day
Just take me by the hand
I am the luckiest man alive
And did I tell you baby
You are the joy of my life
And did I tell you baby
You are the joy of my life

I'm not using a typical father/daughter song for my wedding dance. If there is a song that means something to you and him or a song that reminds you of him--that's gonna mean more. FYI: I'm using Turn the Page by Bob Segar cuz my dad was in a band and sang that song when I was little--it's always reminded me of him--it's definately not your typical father/daughter song.

"Dance with me daughter of mine" is a very sweet wedding song...seems like I've heard a version by John McDermott. Don't think this would have much appeal to the "eccentrics", however...maybe "Another one bites the dust?"

Check out the song "I loved her first" by the group heart land. It is a great father daughter song. I grantee that is what your dad will be thinking at your wedding.

What about a song that means something to you and him?
I don't like the "conventional" father/daughter dance songs-- they don't apply to my relationship with him. We chose a song that reminds us of my childhood -- Michelle My Bell.

how bout something cute and quirky, like the beatles
"when i'm 64" or something like that..? or
"she loves you"
"i wanna hold ur hand"
"obladi-oblada"....
...does it have to be father/daughter related? i don't know the ray charles song so i'm not sure, but he's awesome.
"what a wonderful world" by louis armstrong is cute too....
good luck!
