Is the Devil as Evil as God is Good?

God has ultimate power! There is no one equal to him. If you look at the 1st chapter in Job you will see that the Lord tells Satan what he can and can't do to Job. If the devil had equal power with God then he wouldn't have to ask permission or have guidelines. Also remember that the devil (Satan) is a fallen angel. When he was kicked out of heaven, nothing changed about him. He didn't gain more power. He retained what he always had and that was influence.

Angels are naturally less than God and in the Bible (the new testament) it says that the children of God will judge angels. we are higher than them also.

Also he has already been defeated by the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The wages of sin is death and Jesus took all our sins and nailed it to the cross with him. Jesus died and overcame death/sin and thus defeated the devil.

Hope this helps.

Well, the Devil is Evil as God is Good, however the powers of evil and good are not equall. One human who has enough faith in God can order the Devil away. God and Good is so much more powerfull then the Devil and Evil.

No. First of all measuring evil and good is subjective. However, the Bible does set aside a time of judgment for the Devil where him and his demons will be cast into the Lake of Fire. So it means that the devil's evil will come to an end one day- and those who place their trust in God through Christ- will be with God forever- God is eternal and the devil is temporal... therefore God's goodness will endure much longer than the devil's evil making God's goodness greater (if you follow my logic here)...

No- God is stronger. The devil was created, but God always existed. Also, Jesus defeated the devil by dying for our sins and rising three days later, so the devil is weaker.

Hope that helps. God bless!

Satan is a powerful spirit creature who was created by God but turned away from God because of his pride. He is not equal to God and is in subjection to the authority of God. He has his limitations and has already been defeated by the sacrifice of Christ Jesus. His evil cannot compare to the good of God.

that idea is very similar to Zoroastrian duality.

in that their is one god of evil and one of good.

personally I see the devil as a tool of G-d that the devil is nether good nor bad but rather a way that G-d challenges us in this world so that we merit reward in the next if we are able to over come it

as such I do not hate the devil or call it evil it is simply doing its job and my job is to confront it

God created lucifer (small caps on purpose) as one of many angels. The Creator can not be equal with His creation; for He is greator by definition and ability. When satan went to war with God, God did not wrestle with him, but God sent one of his Angels to do the job, and satan was cast into Hell. So, no they are not equal in any respect. satan's pride does not allow him to see that he is not equal, and he will lose out in the end.

If Satan was equally evil as God is good, Satan would have won the heavenly fight and would be sitting on the heavenly throne instead of God.

No. The devil is obviously stronger, or God would have defeated him by now.
