What type of mood do you want to set? Think about that and go with it.
Green is really peaceful and serene... pick a light green, or sage type color.
Yellow is great for cheerfulness. Make sure you pick a shade that isn't too BRIGHT! It would get old really fast.
Anything super dark will make the room darker, and it will also effect your mood.
What is your favorite color? I would consider a shade of that! Since, you like it already.
Think about what you want! I a lot of your time is spent in your room, how do you want to feel when you walk into it or wake up in the morning?

Periwinkle blue or some light lavender. Really it's whatever makes you feel happy. Blue or Light Purples are relaxing colors that are great for a bedroom though.

I would go with pastels. A light green, light blues, and maybe add some pale yellows. Sounds pretty to me

I have always been happier with neutrals. Grays, tans, taupes and whites can be tolerated for a long time whereas brights can get on your nerves in a short time.

Paint it a white or a cream color so it will go with anything.
