Goodwill Donation Station! All the containers in the world won't help you organize if you're a pack-rat like me.

The first step to organizing is getting rid of the stuff you havn't used in five years, and probably won't miss in the next five.

The best thing to do to get organized is to get rid of what you don't use! If the kids have outgrown it, or you have, get rid of it. If you haven't used it in the past couple months...get rid of it. Goodwill or Salvation Army will take most things that are usable.

I have a plastic box for storing school memories and papers for each of my kids, then I throw out the rest. I keep a few things from each year, such as art work, report cards and hand writing samples. Everything else goes. Usually buried under some other trash so my youngest doesn't "catch" me throwing away his stuff.
