Can someone please tell me some basic views of the following religions? Musim, Scientology, and Mormon. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The Church of Scientology is IMO a destructive cult

Scientologists hold different beliefs depending on how long they have been inside the Church.

Scientologists believe:
o Man has a immortal soul called a thetan.
o You have a primitive reactive mind which is the source of much of man's problems, which collects "engrams" from traumatic times or when you are unconscience.
o A lot of physical illnesses/problems are physcosomatic caused by "Engrams".
o You can 'audit' engrams out and this will solve your issues and clear up your health. They also believe it makes you a more intelligent, aware and reasoned individual.
o Reincarnation and the ability to know these past lives and get to more engrams this way.
o Paying lots of money to scientology for there tech, courses, and auditing.
o Getting more people into scientology.


If they have got to OTIII, then the belief changes slightly. Most scientologists are not at this stage however, so I suppose isn't the fundamental believe of all scientologists, just those above OT III:
o The universe is quadrillions years old.
o Xenu the Interglatic Space Lord ruled a confederation of overpopulated planets.
o Xenu took a load of these aliens from each planet and brought them to earth.
o They were then exploded in volcanoes 75 million yrs ago.
o Their souls were then caught on ribbons and taken to implant stations, where Xenu brainwashed & confused them so they wouldn't leave the planet. This includes implanting all the world religions.
o These Alien souls called Body Thetans have attached to humans, and are in fact the real cause of your problems and why you get and retain engrams...
o You audit these body thetans out by auditing there engrams and taking them back to the Xenu incidents I & II.
o People have jaw aches from when they were a clam in human evolution....hence one domain name of the main critical site is http://www.clambake.org

Scientology may be a religion, as you cannot trounce on people's beliefs, there are entitled to it no matter how strange, even Xenu.

Originally it was set up as therapy, not religion. Ron changed it to religion as a means to escape the law, escape taxes, and so as to appeal more to the masses. It worked...dianetics was failing at the time scientology was created.

However, the Church of Scientology, the organisation is most definitely a money making scam, and a dangerous cult.

If they told you about Xenu upfront, how many people would join? This is where it crosses over to a cult:
They lie to people to gain adherents, they lie to keep them.
They lie to the media, they lie to governments.
They use hard sell techniques, and use techniques which can be seen as social control or brainwashing (although disputed by some experts who give more mundane reasons but I still feel all put together still represent mind control)
They prevent or at least actively discourage scientologists from looking at critical information about scientology.
They charge through the roof for what they sell.
They aren't credited by the scientific community
They hound and harass critics.

And much much more, this is what makes it a cult, not their beliefs.

I don't know about the first two. But I'm a Mormon so I can explain my beliefs to you. For a short answer. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Saviour of mankind. We believe that there were more prophets than the ones in the Bible (which we DO believe in, despite what you might hear). The Book of Mormon is the writings of ancient prophets that lived on the American continents. We believe that after the death of Jesus' apostles, there was a falling away, apostacy, from the whole gospel. Parts were still around but not the whole truth. We believe that Heavenly Father and Jesus called a new prophet in 1820, named Joseph Smith, to restore the fulness of the gospel. We believe that since that time there have been prophets on the earth. The current prophet is Gordon B. Hinckley, The president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (The official name of the "Mormon" church) We believe that marriages and families can be together forever(Instead of "'till death do you part")

I'm Mormon.
"The Mormons" is actually a nickname that the rest of the world gave us. Are real name is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We got the nickname because we have the Book of Mormon, which is another testament of Jesus Christ. Mormons are Christian, even though alot of people say we aren't.
One big difference we have is that we believe that the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are 3 seperate beings. Not three in one. We believe that The Father has a physical body, and we were created in it's image. We believe that there is a living prophet on the earth today, it is currently Gordon B. Hinckley.
We believe that there are 3 levels of Heaven... The Celestial, The Terrestrial, and the Telestial. We believe that you need good works as well as Faith to get to the top kingdom of heaven.
We believe that we were sent to earth to obtain mortal bodies, and live as Christ-like as we can to return to our father in heaven. We believe that families can be eternal if they are sealed together in a Holy Temple.

Well I assume you mean Muslim. The core of Islam is that there is only one God and Muhammad was the last Messenger. Islam is a way of life not just a religion. Every aspect of life is covered in Islam. It keeps the Muslim pure religiously and in his or her life. Everything is done for God and the reward of Paradise.

Scientology and Mormon I don't know to much about. I could goggle it to find out more, but I don't think thats what you looking for. I believe Mormons are somewhat like the Christian faith or a branch of it. If I am not mistaken they say there was another prophet that brought a book, but like I said I don't know to much about them.

muslims believe in Allah the almighty God..they also believe in the prophet Muhammad and the quran...The quran was also never rewritten and they also believe that sciences also know as miracles have proven the exsistance of Allah...as for scientology I am not sure...Mormons believed that A man named john not sure about this but I think because I went to a mormon church once but he found the bible in an alley in a bin and he took and restored it...I know that mormons are not allowed to date til there a certain age....and other than that I am not sure...

as a muslim i will speak about islam,in our religion we have 5 pirlls in islam:
1)the sahada(to testify that noone worthy of being worshipped but Allah,Muhammed is Allah`s messanger)
n.b:u must testify with ur heart and ur tounge

2)praying: 5 times everyday and u can pray more

3)fasting:we have to fast one month every year and this month called ramadan,in Ramadan muslims fast certain hours everyday and if they wanna fast in anthore month so they can

4)charity: to the poor in order to make a community which has no poor ppl and all ppl leave in love and noone be jeolus from the other.

5)pligram to who can go to mecca

my religion is not a religion but it is a way of love,happines and peace.
