Yes, but it's not the bible on its own; its about the intent that people have when they choose a quote, out of content and without any thought of the historical background in which the bible was written, and then use this quote to incite hatred against others. There is no hate speech without intent.

Bible Quotes are not hate speach but people who hate will use them just to put forth their beliefs and try to back them up. Then they will leave out quotes that go against what they do.

Hate is something that man does and is good at. Just look at what men do.

The only hate i'm aware of is from people who don't want to hear the Truth of God's Word.

hahahhaaa. I bet it seems like it. You know what?

It's not the preaching that makes people hate.

People hate the Word of God, because it convicts them of they're lifestyle.

Nobody can have a problem with preaching, that is no different from reading any book, unless it directly attacks your standard.

Truth does that, I would suggest a person change they're standard, but then, thats my opinion, but the preaching will never stop, never.

Many parts of the Bible certainly are hate speech. There are places where it refers to nonbelievers as fools, or as swine. There are places where supposedly god orders the genocide of entire civilizations. There are places where it says to kill witches, etc.

Other parts are ok.

Yes.

That's why, in Canada, the Bible is specifically exempted from our laws against Hate-mongering.

Sort of tells you something about the religion when even politicians have to admit it promotes hatred.

In the beginning before there were Civil Rights, politics, or activists, the earth was without form and an empty waste, and darkness was upon the face of the very great deep. The Spirit of God was moving (hovering, brooding) over the face of the waters. Genesis 1:2

God didn't have to create the world, but God is love and love is best when it is directed towards someone else. So God spoke words and things started to happen. The water gathered together and dry land appeared. He created trees, animals, and mankind. He didn't have to do it but He did.

Because He created us, and wanted the best for us, God set up rules, and gave us responsibility and free will, that is the ability to make our own decisions. Things were going good until one man disobeyed. By this one man's disobedience, sin infiltrated the entire world.

Because when they knew and recognized Him as God, they did not honor and glorify Him as God or give Him thanks. But instead they became futile and [a]godless in their thinking [with vain imaginings, foolish reasoning, and stupid speculations] and their senseless minds were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools. And by them the glory and majesty and excellence of the immortal God were exchanged for and represented by images, resembling mortal man and birds and beasts and reptiles. Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their [own] hearts to sexual impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves [abandoning them to the degrading power of sin], because they exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, Who is blessed forever! Amen (so be it).For this reason God gave them over and abandoned them to vile affections and degrading passions. For their women exchanged their natural function for an unnatural and abnormal one Romans 1:21-26

God does not teach us to hate anyone. He said love is the greatest command. Love God first and love your neighbors as yourself. He does however tell us to "turn away from wickedness and shun it, do right." 1 Peter 3:11

Bottom Line: God created the world, when he didn't have to. God offered his son Jesus as a permanent sacrifice to free us from the law of sin and death. God loves us and he cares for us. The least we can do is be good children, and obey Him.

Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse--the blessing if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you this day;and the curse if you will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside from the way which I command you this day to go after other gods, which you have not known. Deutoronomy 11:26
