He/She were probably used to you being there for them to lean on and be at their beck and call. People who know that someone else has feelings for them (who at first they have no interest in) use that person to make themselves feel better. Once you stopped tending to their every need because you found someone else they missed the attention. They missed being catered to. They missed having someone around because now they have no one and want you back. If they really had feelings for you they would have realized what an amazing person that you are before you found someone else who realized it first. Stay with your new found love and don't look back sweetheart because that person fell for who you are not what you have done for them. Best of luck.

Because part of being attractive to others is having options. With options for lovers you're more attractive to other potential lovers. Without options for lovers you're deemed unattractive. In short, everybody wants what everybody else wants. It's the power of competition, use it to your advantage and make yourself attractive by being in high demand.
