Unfortionatly, there aren't a lot of games you can play these days without downloading them.

But, if you really want to play a pet game (like I do), then go to
http://www.americangirl.com/agmg/pets/index.html
Pet Pick-Up:
You select an animal (dog, cat, bunny) and you try to collect all the toy you can get. Timed.
The Morning Walk:
Walk the dog, but try to avoid obstacles through the way.
Get a Net Pet:
You can adopt two cats and two dogs (under different roofs), and feed, play, and teach them.
But remember, your pets on one computer won't be the same as pets on another computer.

or:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbbc/games/play/ Then Click on Vet Set Go!
You are a vet, saving little animals as they come into the ER. Get them well fed and cared for, and soon they'll be off-just so more animals can come. It's a cute game, I love to play.

Well you can try www.bunnyherolabs.com and then find the "Adopt a pet" category...you can even put it on your website if you have one...but you can't treat it like a real pet.

I found a game that has dogs in it though.
