I am looking to buy a newer car and all I have ever owned are Honda Accords. I have grown tired of this car and am looking to buy a Nissan Altima.

I know nissan is a good car but I think that they messed up the newer altima. I have a friend who has an 04 with 50,000 and had to replace the transmision 2,000 miles ago. the tranmission started to make a wierd noise when the car had about 40,000 miles, and he took it to the dealership and they told him it was normal, then about 7,000 later the tranmssion wouldn't shift anymore.
