How many of you have even been a Mormon Session? i bet most of u havent. i bet you got what u know about us from magazines, internet, tv. what makes u think that they even know what they are talking about. so unless u have been to one of our services, you information about us is unreliable.

I appologize if i came across as bashing others. i didnt want that affect. i just dont understand how people can say what they do about us when they dont really understand. i believe in my church. i know that it is the true church i dont mean to push my religon on others. i do know that other religons get bashed as well it just seems more and more like we are getting the most of it. I do aprecait all the answers u have given me. as i read though i realized more and more how little u know about us. in my oppinion i would suggest u attend one of our services. that way u might really understand what our church is really about. i again appologize for coming across like i was bashing others out there. i dont intend to do that. i believe that everyone has a right to ther own oppinion.

Hey! I'm LDS and I notice that there are a lot of "mormon bashing" questions on here and I know that there are a lot of people who judge us wrongly. Although I must say I agree that it this bashing should stop, but they are human. They are judging us based on the little amount of info that they know. Please don't take this wrong, but it seems to me that you are doing your own "bashing". You are judging others just as they are judging you. This sort of question actually can provoke more bashing rather than persuading these bashers to seek out real information. It is just like all of the protesters at temple square. Though we all want to defend our beliefs, we tend to do more damage than good if we rebuttle against them in the same way they are doing to us. As long as they are not doing something that will actually do harm, we need to turn the other cheek as Christ taught. We need to be the examples and not the agitators. Just remember, we aren't the only ones being bashed and that there is opposition in all things.

There are many good and admirable things about Mormons. I am a Catholic and it's funny how many times people confuse our religions. It's also funny that, when I tell them I have seven kids, they all say, "You're either Mormon or Catholic."

I wonder, for the sake of intellectual integrity, if you've ever researched the "other side", the view of Mormonism from outside? I've done so with Catholicism. If you want to know the specific issues that Catholics have with Mormon beliefs, you can start here (scroll down to the Mormon section): http://www.catholic.com/library/noncatholic_groups.asp

With God's love.....

Dear Anon, I certainly don't agree with what you believe. And you wouldn't either, if you did some research outside the tons of material your church provides. Your "faith" is based on lies and hype, and the Mormon scholar who expressed the findings from his research that the Book of Mormon was actually written in The 19th century was fired from BYU. Any one who disagrees with the official church line is reprimanded and/or kicked out of your group. What kind of a loving God is THAT demonstrating? Its all about money, power and control, anonymous. Your church is worth at least $33,000,000,000---check it out! Maybe when you are older you will come to realize that there ain't no pie in the sky, so we've all gotta' make the very best of what we've got here---with no expectation of an eternal reward.

Don't be so sensitive. Have a sense of humor. Nothing wrong with some good clean mormon-bashing. Here are some web sites for you.

Without adversity, the mormons would never have accomplished everything that they have. Keep up the bashing.

I dated a Mormon and went to the church a couple times

im sorry but any religion that says some guy found ancient scribes in the middle of the American forest seems a bit odd to me..

and different levels of heaven? all are equal under god. in heaven there is no hierarchy other than god, Jesus, holy spirit, and we all will worship together, equally.

I just don't agree with it.

and all the Mormon paintings of Jesus depict him as white with blonde, or dirty blonde hair and blue eyes

Jesus was middle eastern!

so, thus. I think I have the information to be able to bash. any religion that has a uniform that you wear in order to go recruit seems a bit cult-ish to me. just sayin.

?? Seriously now, where have you been? We are bashing ALL religions here!! Not just you!!

Everything I need to know about mormonism I learned from South Park! Anyone who beleives that craptastic story about Joe Smith and the way he "wrote" the book of Mormon reallly needs a mental check up. But SP said it best - what does it matter what you beleive, when it makes you happy??? More power to you!

Im just glad that I dont have to beleive in fairy tales to have a happy fulfilling life.

I am an atheist and would like to go on record that no religion (mormon or otherwise) has been able to come up with evidence of higher powers.

I'm sorry if I was only picking on mormons, I meant to pick on all religions

Before you think it - Atheism is organized but is not recognized as a religion by the U.S. Government, nor would I want it to be.

God Less all of you!

We make fun of mormons in the same way high school students pick on kids in band camp. There's a sort of appreciation of life and obliviousness to the concepts of evil that makes them annoying to the "more disillusioned" people of the world. That, and mormons are as evangelical as Jehova's Witness, meaning they're annoying. And those suits and bikes. The suits and bikes! What's up with that?!

Seriously though, it's just a crisis of image.

To an outsider, Mormon doctrine and lifestyle, seems wacky and delusional - what with the secret underwear, etc. However, for the record, despite the wacky, misguided beliefs I think Mormons are among the nicest people I've met and I don't think their delusion is any worse than anyone elses.

im lds too and it wont end for years, people are just ignorant and hate people for having different ideas like most of the answers above, no offense. It just wont end, so just live with your beliefs.

Oh look at all of these posts, there is no reason for people to keep "bashing". People are just mean when it comes to beliefs stuborn, hateful, spiteful, thats what other people of different religions or athiestism people do, they are so prideful, they dont even look at themselves when they speak. hope this helps u understand why! lol it sucks i know.

Clear this up a little bit, Joseph Smith found golden plates in a forest, yeah sounds farfetched but how was it supposd to be? And for the rest of the athiest people ask yourself what is the point of living. lol

Ok Lds church is one of the wealthiest churches in america, they do not keep track of your pay. You do not even need to pay any money at all, You get temple privileges if you do pay. The money goes to help build temples missionarys, people who need money, etc. Look at the president of the church gordon b hinckley, does he ride around in a mustang or ferrari? no he doesnt, he just lives like us. Dont be a terrorist some of you are no different than Terrorist looking at the U.S, just hatin because the church has alot of money. why??? I dont understand, maybe jealousy or greed? ease up people! i dont hate everyone and everything richer than what i have.

Please people be a little nicer, i dont bash on religions like i use to because im more mature, and some of u just make jokes of other peoples beliefs. People need to have higher morals.
