Man! Michael Grant, are you kidding me, the only bigger underacheiver in the heavy's was/ is, Michael Moorer. Size ain't crap! If your head isn't screwed on straight, if you come into a fight looking like a deer in the headlights, it matters not how long the arms, how big in stature. All good fighter have defeated bigger, and, smaller opponents. That's just the way it is. Michael Grant is a buster. He was okay when fighting journeymen, etc. Yes, Lewis destroyed him, but so did Jameel "Big(head..oops)Time" McCline( in 1 round), and, Dominique "Southern Disaster" Guinn. C'mon man, the boy was an underacheiver. Folks built him up, to watch him fall. Just like Mike (Moorer). AS FAR as Lewis goes, he ws good, and, smart. He realized that he had made a good living, and, had a great run in the fight game. He got caught every so often by power shots, and was smart enough to realize that he didn't like that. What is more, Lewis was not into warring with fighters. A lot of fighters like going long into the fight, and even the distance, even if it is a war, i.e, Ward, De la Hoya, Gatti, Holyfield, Johnson, Pryor, Chavez, Mancini, Ali, Leonard, etc. Lewis, did not like long fights, although he did go the distance a few times. THe fact that Lewis didn't go late into fights often is a credit to him. THe fact that he destroyed some fighters, ie, Tyson, and, he technically destroyed others round by round. Forget Grant, how about, Frank Bruno, Oliver McCall, Henry Akinwade, my bud, Holyfield, Tyson, Tua, Razor Ruddock, Shannon Briggs, Klitschko, or, Rahman. Eventhough Lewis lost to my bud,Holyfield, McCall, and, Rahman, he also came back and defeated them all. Lewis was the man, and, he should have hung around and whipped a few of the wannabe's ie, Roy Jones.
