I thought I was gay, but I may be asexual of some sort.
Since I was a kid I was attracted to other males, fantasized, etc, but when I had a boyfriend who I felt attracted to, I was turned off physically
However, I never fantasize about women, & can look at nude women all day, it does nothing for me. But, to my shock different women have aroused me in their presence. But it was a reflex, no real interest, like a sneeze.

Result: Ive never had sex, because Im partly attracted to and turned off by both genders. Like Im a gay trapped in a straight's body, or that I'm just not sexually attracted enough to either gender to have sex.
I suspect it may be phermonal: like I may like the results of testosterone (muscles, deep voice..) but repulsed by its actual presence. So the look turns me on, the olfaction turns me off. Vice versa with women
I'm not depressed about this, and am happy with being in a platonic relationship. I'm just curious if this is uniqe, what it is called, etc

Thank you for your answers, but I must clarify that this isn't a confusion. Because I know exactly what is going on. It is more of a conflict. And again, I am a very happy person. No depression, or anything. Just curiosity. It's not psychological either. I strongly think it may be pheromones

I'm just not sure if there is a l

Never heard of that one, and I thought I've read it all. I would ask Dan Savage of Savage Love, he helps everybody.

Wow dude. You should get your chemistry checked out for a hormonal imbalance. Next, talk to a shrink (that doesn't make you crazy btw). You should not miss out on sexual interaction, it's one of the greatest things about being human.

I'd try a casual experience with a woman and see how it goes. People can be affraid of what they are not familiar with. If you are not familiar with women, somethings about them might come as a surprise. But it sounds like your same sex turns you off as well. I'd say, find a shrink, and maybe a casual encounter with a woman.

Good luck.

You prefer to hang out with men, but aren't 'aroused' by them, and just don't react to women at all except in rare circumstances where its just a body reaction, but not a mental, 'oh wow' reaction.

Sounds like a lack of testosterone thing to Me. Yes, it is possible to be Asexual, though its considered a sexual dysfunction. Which apparently you are at least someone asexual.

I'd get a psychiatrist and talk it out with them if you have a problem with it. If you are perfectly happy with it, just leave it be, label it 'being asexual' and you can have fun tormenting them by putting yourself out there as a challenge to men and women a like to try and steal your virginity.

it's called confusion sweety and it is perfectly normal. stick with the platonic relationships for now and enjoy urself. sex is not all that anyway until u are thoroughly in love and married. there are 2 many consequences mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, etc. to premarital sex. save urself and enjoy life.

Maybe if you are a gay, and think you are repulsed by sex with men, that may all boil down to society and what you may subconciously thinking society will look down on you.
