There is a guy who always sits next to me (the next chair is some distance from me) in school and burps all of the time, so loud that it is disgusting. I do not think that it is a medical condition, because he does not do it if some one else is around. He only does it when I'm alone and he is sitting there. Why is he disrespecting me? I don't even know his name!

Ask him. Maybe he just doesn't respect you. It wouldn't hurt to find out why, or to ask him for respect. It is equally as disrespectful to be offended and not tell him. He may not realize you have any problem with what he's doing, and therefore, he has no reason to stop what he's doing. You must tell him. And don't be mean about it. Tell him respectfully.

I don't know how old you are, but it sounds to me like you are young enough to be in class with someone immature enough to think burping is a good way to get your attention.

He might think that he's beig attractive or rude when he burps. It's not a big thing.

Be glad you don't know him. He is obviously immature. The time will come when your paths will part and you will move on, but he will likely still annoy anybody he meets.

maybe he does it because he knows it bothers you. my dad and brother always do gross things just to see what my reaction will be. just try to ignore him, or get up and leave. life is full of jerks, be glad you don't have to ride a bus with him because then you'd really be stuck!
