Have you ever seen a grandma with long, gray scraggly hair flowing down her back? Well.... it's not a pretty sight to see. When the hair gets gray..... they should keep it short and sassy and easy to take care of. When you get older.... you don't want to waste any of the precious time you have left messing with long hairdos!

Well lets start with Grandmas don't all have short hair, some woman wear there hair short because they like it that way. I know lots of grandmas that have long hair. My great grandma had hair down to her butt until the day she died.

All Grandmothers do not have short hair! But most do. Usually because short hair is easier to care for. Why waste energy on putting hair up when there are so many other things to do. Simple things get harder as you get older and energy depletes faster so it is just easier to have shorter hair.
Back in the old days when families lived with or near each other, there were family members to help granny braid and pin up her hair. Don't see that much any more.

I don't know, but when I'm a grandma, I plan to have really long hair. Just kidding.

because they are old and if they have long hair it looks like they want to be young so they have short hair and the period for long hair has gone in their days

Because shorter hair gets easier for them to take care of.and I doubt they want long gray hair.I'd rather have short gray hair then long.

It's easier to take care of. Their hair may be thinning, so it looks better short.

Because its gray, and it makes them feel old. Also, shorter hair styles, such as perms, are better for hiding bald spots. Yes, women get those too.

I think at that age, they don't care anymore and are tired of dealing with their hair everyday.
