I do not understand what you are talking about. What 5 mysteries? I am a Catholic and the only thing I can think of you could be referring to is the Mysteries of the Rosary and there are 4 sets of 5.

I put in 'catholic mysteries' (in double quotes) into google and had trouble finding them. The hardest part was trying to determine if the person writing a book or article was referring to a standard set of defined Catholic mysteries or whether they were referring to any doctrine or thing we can't explain in Church teachings as a mystery. Here's what I found and I don't know how good it is:
This site (http://www.sgroi.com/catholic/truth_b.html) mentions 3 mysteries (it does NOT say that there are only 3): Trinity (nature of god), Incarnation (Jesus becoming a man), and Eucharist (bread/wine becoming Jesus)
This site (http://prc.americancatholic.org/product.aspx?prodid=A7025) seems to be the best one - it refers to 12 mysteries (includes all 3 of the above): Mystery of God (=Trinity), Mystery of Jesus of Nazareth (=Incarnation), Mystery of the Spirity (Holy Spirit??), Mystery of Cross and Resurrection (reason jesus died and then rose?), Mystery of Salvation, Mystery of Grace, Mystery of the Eucharist, Mystery of the Church, Mystery of Mary the Mother of Jesus, Mystery of Heaven, Mystery of the Return of Jesus

The Rosary, a meditational prayer recited daily is composed of 3 sections each containing 5 parts. These parts are known as mysteries, is this what you are getting at?
