Only you know your brides interest. There is no perfect gift. Some girls absolutely love jewelery and other girls are like eh. No matter if its jewelery, something written, clothes article. Try to add a bit of her interest into the item. My fiance picked something with butterflies. Also don't just buy something to buy it. My suggestion is, if you can even get her maid of honor or bridesmaid to one of the shops. They can help you to find something that your bride would like. If at all possible, see if you can make it a group affair, so that way when the bride splits up with a friend, she isn't as suspicious about you picking up her maid of honor or friend to go shopping. Or bring her mother.. Althought- that maybe a bit ackward.

Something that will remind her why she's marrying you. You could write a short story about when you met, how your relationship developed over time, falling in love, all the good and the, the funny and the sad (I didn't mean to rhym then) and have it bound.
Everyone else is right as well, women love jewellery, A locket with something inside of it would be more person, or something you can engrave.

try a heart felt poem or speach although that may be better to say at the actual weeding. You could try to composit like a movie or photo album/scrap book of your lives together. Like when you where dateing and stuff. Or you ,know what would be great you are getting married she is probably reallly stressed out try a message or a nice bubble bath or somethin gsoothing like that. I hope this helps....personallly i would enjoy all of this. Befor my husband and i got married and got me a copy of the world series. (the one the reds soks won) because i was too sick to see it. Then he made me grilled chees and chicken top ramen all by hiself. Toped off with a nice cold ice house. It was the perfect day. (that's my favorite meal) so you could try something like that.

How about a large sterling silver frame for your best wedding picture...and in the meantime write a lovers poem and put it in the frame...She can keep it under the wedding photo...and only the 2 of you will know it is there...for all time!

I would recommend something jewelry that she can wear for years and remember you and that special night. If it's a family heirloom- then that's even better. If it's a piece of jewelry she can wear on the day of the wedding- that can be special too. Just make sure its something classic that she can wear for years and it will always bring back a special memory for her.

Tradition says pearls. Earrings in particular, or a string of pearls if you afford them. If she has them already or is not a fan, a piece of keepsake jewelry that is to her taste, i.e. cameo, gold cross, gold watch, etc.
Another good choice is a framed portrait of you or the ever popular lingerie, scented oils and a poem you've written declaring your heart.
