The screen recently started pulsing on the left and right side whenever it was turned on. It happens when just the regular television is on, and DVDs & video games. It's quite annoying when you watching something. The TV is less than 5 years old and is not a flat screen. It's 32" and is an RCA.

Sounds like a minor problem but it will have to be dealt with by a repairman. Could be a bad board, cracked chip, a lot of different things can go wrong that will affect the picture, but it should be looked at by a qualified repairman to exactly know what the problem is.

Sound like a problem in the horizontal deflection or HV section. Definitely not a do it youself repair job.

Sounds like the picture tube may be going out.
