According to the UNACAO, there are 22 armed conflicts currently. There must be casualties on each side to be considered an armed conflict.

more than you can count, many of them so small the news doesn't bother with them. there is ALWAYS an armed conflict SOMEWHERE, 90% of the time they don't talk about it on the news.
