You see,
you are on the top of a 100mts building
there are no elevators
no staircases
you just have a 75 metres rope
and there is a ledge on the outside of the building on which you can stand at 50metres the height of the building.
how will you get down without using any silly methods and only using the rope?

it took me a whole day to find out the answer
hint: it has something to do with loops and knots

Very easy. Simply cut 25 mts of the rope (we'll call this piece "A"), tie one end at the top of the building and make a small loop at the other end. With the remaining 50 mts of rope (let's call this piece "B"), tie both ends to form a loop, passing it through the small loop of piece "A". Now you can go down 50 meters to the ledge (25 meters going down "A" and 25 meters going down "B").

At the ledge, simply untie the knot of piece "B" and pull the rope to free it from "A". This gets you a straight 50m piece of rope. If you tie this and go down, you can get to the floor....

Larry wakes up at home with a huge hangover. He forces himself to open his eyes, and the first thing he sees is a couple of aspirins and a glass of water on the side table.
