I'm not trying to be a wise-guy, but by any chance did you connect the battery cables backwards? If you did, even momentarily, you have likely "fried" the engine controller (the no start) and possibly taken out almost anything else electrical (the Body computer which controls the fuel gauge). I may be way off base here, but there are no resets for the computer system after changing the battery. I know my Dad did this once on a Grand Am he owned, and it took out the engine computer and the circuit board in the headlight switch. So, as I said, I am in no way trying to harass you, but just give you a little "food for thought". You'll probably have to have it towed to a reputable shop and tested. BTW, I hope this is not the case and it's something simple, but it sounds suspicious you lost everything after changing the battery.

Sounds like you have no power to the fuel pump. The sending unit and fuel pump are one piece. Check fuses make sure you did not blow one while changing the battery.
