We love to share God through Christ with everyone on Yahoo:Answers. When answering questions, remember to adhere to II Timothy 2:23-26:

Have nothing to do with foolish, ignorant controversies; you know that they breed quarrels. And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.

Remember:
• Not Quarrelsome
• Kind to everyone
• Able to teach
• Patient in enduring evil
• Correcting others gently

Let God grant repentance, which will lead others to a knowledge of the truth.

Agree?

That verse just eats up God-haters, because they're always looking for a fight. The posts below make that obvious.

Seasoned, as with salt

But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,

I agree we should not cast pearls to the swines, but it only takes a few seconds to give a heartfelt answer to someone who is trying to be smart and rude. And maybe that answer just might hit home a little. I think we should avoid controversy yes, but avoid being in the battle for souls, never!

Totally agree.
The questions that are vulgar and not in pursuit of honest answers I will not answer or read beyond the first sentence.
Tell the truth as the Bible directs us, with out hostility and or sinking to their level.
Remember, we are to show love, be wise as serpents and gentle as doves.

Wow! Thank you for your wonderful comments!! It is hard work to follow that, but I totally agree with what you are showing us. As Christians we do very much need to be careful, we definitely do not want to stumble the honest hearted. I do believe there are a few in here that have honest-hearted questions and I don't think they are trying to be nasty. Whoever you are, thank you for those comments!

ooooh good point! you gotta wonder if arguing our points so strongly on here actually helps or just affirms what people already thought and turns them off to christianity. after all, you can say anything on here since no one has a clue who you are and if you're telling the truth, but it's your everyday life that does the real talking. I agree with you.

How about you accept the fact that the majority of religious people (and people in general) are retarded sheep that need to join a club to feel good about themselves, and people who dont put all their faith in this God guy are the freethinkers that propel mankind into the future.

Yes, I agree.

But then, our conduct should ALWAYS be reflecting our Christian personality, no matter what we are doing, just as it reads at 1 Corinthians 10:31 - "Therefore, whether you are eating or drinking or doing anything else, do all things for God’s glory. "

Sounds like a personal problem to me. I know that I am right. You are using the Word of God against yourself, not us.
