that happened to me this winter too, I went through body lotion, baby oil, neosporin, and nothing seemed to help. Right now I'm using lotrisome (a prescription) and am hoping it will help. My doctor doesn't know what it is, and I have a biopsy scheduled. Just see the doctor

its probably an allergy to a certain lotion or bodywash... a certain laundry detergent or softener that you wash with. dont scracth it !
that spreads germs and bacteria and can lead to an skin infection which is far worst than a itchy skin. you could be hospitalized for an skin infection. i just remembered when i shave my legs started to get ichy and red. it might be that if you do shave your legs.

Try baby oil in the tub and soak, then use lots of scent free lotion to moisturize. Otherwise consult a dermatoligist.

I would suggest getting an anti-itch cream. Ask your local pharacist what they would suggest. If there is embarassing redness or bleeding, I would talk to a dermatolagist. You can get a referral through your family doctor.

Try a pure Vitamin E cream. No perfumes, just straight vitamin E. You should be able to get it at any drug store. It works for me.

It could be an allergic reaction to a fabric you're wearing. Check with a dermatologist to see.
