there is supposed to be a war between heven and hell
with god as the victor. my question is why does there need to be a war? a war implies the chance of losing. is satan to powerful to just wipe out with a snap of the perverbial finger?

if god created satan as he is supposed to have created all things shouldn't this be the way it should be?

I wondered that myself, however; I am not God and His ways and thoughts are so much higher than mine.
People must decide for them selves who to follow- satan or God.
Until the time is right, and no one knows when that day will be, God is not going to alter His plan. He alone knows the future.
And we are in a war right now- of good vs evil.

the "war" that u r talking about is described in Rev. it will be the world against Israel. just when it looks like Israel will lose the Lord and His army descend from Heaven. this will start the 1000yrs, reign of the Lord on earth. Satan will be able to do as he pleases during this time. at the end of the 1000yrs. is when God will pass judgment on us all and the new heaven and earth will be created. this is all in God's master plan for peace on earth, good will to men. Satan WILL lose this war because no one can face God this way and win. Satan has NO power that God didn't allow him to have and can take away in the blink of His eye.

Heaven or Hell - imagine all war heroes will be in hell - also heaven has a quota system to choose people - The ratio of population Hell vs. Heaven will be 1,000,000,000 : 1. Well I guess that would make sense, but it also makes sense to give people the right to choose between good and evil. The ability to discern what we are supposed to be doing with our lives. I guess that's why that bastard satan is still around. He is kind of a balance in nature. I know that sounds screwy, but without that jackass the Revelation of the Bible would be all for not. Why would we need to know how to act, treat others, and so on. We would do it naturally and without prompting from the dark side.

It is a war between good and evil. The ones that lose or win is us, the angels. God will lose, his children. Think about it this way; You have two kids, they start fighting. One says don't listen to dad, listen to me. The other says I want to listen to dad, not you. In the end the one that doesn't listen to dad is kicked out of the house.
But, in the case of God, there are many children. And, in the end the one that loses is destroyed.

The battle is in our minds. Everything has an opposite. The devil concept was given to us to show what the opposite might look like. It is symbolic of the warring sides (or opposites) within a human being. It has a purpose. Our real happiness does not lie in hurting ourselves or others...and this is to help us know it. You can't have Love without Hate...it means we have a choice...a say...in our own happiness. Hate only exists because it exists in man.
