He probably feels like he has no value to you if he doesn't have money to spend on you. Tell him you love him, not his money. If he doesn't believe you then refuse to do things that cost money for awhile.

Well he must think that money buys happiness , While you understand the real deal . You really do not need money to be happy . As for what to do , get some fishing poles when he has money , when he is broke take him fishing . you do not have to own or rent a boat to have a great time . But then again , if he really understood love you would not need to do anything . But try fishing , one fish one the line will bring out a smile in any boy or girl ..... Or a lady that is trying to make the happiness she so deeply deserves....

WE work hard, when it is time to pay the bills we understand that. Its when we put long hours in & work overtime, then too find out that we are broke & the only thing to do is take a walk or go for a bike ride it is alittle depressing, to work hard & long for a walk..I keep telling myself our money is going to our house that we are buying (not throughing away on rent) & the remotels that we do to it.Every once in awhile we do have some money & we do go do stuff. So dont worry its a guy thing.

This problem isn't just limited to men. I do it myself. I can't help it. I feel carefree and capable when I have money. On the other side of the coin I feel worthless and helpless when I'm broke and I have tendency to be mean about it. (It all might have something to do with the fact that my b/f keeps changing jobs all the time and we go back and forth.) Just give him some space when he acts up. Works for me.

Money is power, plain and simple.
You can buy your freedom with it, and have a whole heck of a lot more control in your life, when you have enough money you don't care.
Just let him know - actually say it to him - that money isn't a big deal to you. Get it out on the table, and maybe that'll ease any money related issues he projects onto or through you...........

It is his job to be financially responsible for the family. Perhaps he feels like a failure when the money is gone. He may feel like he doesn't make enough to make you happy. Go easy on the guy and slow down on spending and you will more than likely see him be a happier person.

Just let it go. Don't pressure him to go places. He just feels bad that he can't provide more for you. It hurts him and men don't know how to let it go. My husband is kind of the same way. After he writes out the bills, he's pretty distant and sulky....I have learned just to let it go and not even ask about it.
