Massachusetts
Connecticut
Delaware
Ohio
Mississippi
Tennessee
Ilinois
Michigan
Wisconsin
Minnesota
Iowa
Missouri
Oklahoma
nebraska
South Dakota
North Dakota
Utah
Oregon
Alaska
this list does not include the SPANISH names (California, Montana, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Florida) or the Polynesian native name Hawaii or the Anglicised name for south Asia used for native Americans as in "Indiana" because neither Spanish, English nor Polynesia is of native American origin.

Actually, the dispute over "Arizona" is not over two tribal names, but over a Native American derivation from "arizonac" (Spanish from O'Odham ali sona-g "having a little spring"), versus a Basque derivation arizonak "good oaks", so "Arizona" is only a half possible Native American name.

And Hawaiian is considered a "Native American" language for most purposes these days even though it is Polynesian in origin.

You should go ahead and give BB the points since Arizona is debated.

Everyone is forgetting Arizona...there are many who dispute how it got it's name...some people say it comes from "arizonac" and others say "ali son" (different Native American tribal languages meaning two different things). But the inherent belief is that AZ is also of NA origin.
