i have tried heena,eggs,and even curd to soften them but it resulted in a mere change in its quality. basically i have thick and fluffy hairs. they spread out a lot after drying so i need to apply hair oil so that they can settle down. iam using SUNSILK shampoo( with egg protein &olive oil extracts). please suggest how to soften them and how can i make them so that they donot spread out.?

any kind of conditioner would work. don`t blow dry your hair and when your hair is air-drying, put conditioner on the ends.

Use products especially made for curly hair:Ouidad and Frizz Ease lines are some of the best.Phyodefrisant,Frederic Fekkai Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner with Shea Butter,Redken's Soft Curls or All Soft Shampoos and Conditioners.After shampooing and conditioning,apply a serum or balm,like Frizz Ease,Framesi's Wio Straightening Balm,Phyodesfirsant Balm,any of Redken's snit-frizz balms,liberally to your hair and let it air dry or use a diffuser on the blow dryer and shape the curls the way you want them.

Use conditioner every time you shampoo. Also, once a week, try using a mayonnaise hairpack(leave on for 30 mins) & then shampoo as usual. It really helps to soften hair. In order to avoid your hair spreading out, use a gel & style straight, for a smooth, sleek look.

this may sound like a joke but it isn't. horse shampoo works really good to soften your hair. i have use it in the past and it works good. it is made to soften the course hair of a horse.

try it sometime it really works. you can get it usally at a feed store. but you might also try walmart as well, they sell it here in arkansas

use some frizz-ease (you can get the formula for extra coarse hair) while hair is still very wet...then use a curling creme or mousse...make sure to use a moisturizing deep conditioner once a week!

I use proclaim glossing polish... its the best stuff I've every used. Its not expensive... I get it at sally's.
