It does seem sort of narcissistic, kind of what a bronze age king might have been like perhaps?

This is exactly the problem with the Christian idea of heaven. I mean really... what will be left to do after a couple thousand millennia? And that's just a drop in the ocean of eternity. An eternity of tedium doesn't sound so great to me.
As far as egomaniac... I think that fits pretty well with a being who creates other people to "share his joy with him!" But then also creates the possibility of misery and anguish so that it's interesting. I guess he was bored.

first ingredient i visit miss approximately your very final sentence, in any case in answer to your important question: basically somewhat flock will circulate to heaven. Luke 12:32. that's per what Jesus reported at Matt. 22:14 with regard to the dominion of the heavens: "there are a number of invited, yet few chosen." there's a particular variety spoken interior the Bible of those sealed a hundred and forty four,000-Rev. 7:9-10; 14:a million-3; those could have a activity to do a million Cor. 6:2 "Do you no longer be attentive to that the holy ones will choose the international?" Rev. 20:6 "they are going to be priest of God and of the Christ, and could rule as kings with him for the thousand years. Rev. 5:10 "You made them to be a kingdom and clergymen to our God, and that they are to rule as kings over the earth." so which you notice there'll be no sitting around all day, they have the activity of ruling over the survivors of Armageddon, and the resurrected ones continuing to help us to enhance in expertise and perfection in the process the thousand year reign of Jesus Christ.

God is the only being who is qualified to be egomaniacal if He wants to.
haven't you ever seen something so beautiful and wonderful that you just wanted to go on looking at it forever? like a summer storm or a sunset or sun slanting through a forest? (if not, then i feel sorry for you, and i can understand why you wouldn't be able to understand praising God). anyway, that's what it's going to be like, except better.
besides, i don't think that's ALL we'll do in heaven. i think it more means, that we'll all feel so happy and joyful all the time that we just won't be able to HELP singing God's praises, b/c He IS that wonderful, and he DESERVES to be praised forever!
we have such small minds . . . we can't even imagine what heaven is going to be like! for all you know we can stand before God's throne and sing His praises AND explore the universe at the same time!
i'm excited to find out what God has in store for me once i go Home; it will be worth praising! Heaven is going to be awesome!
hope to see you there!

I believe you are referring to the book of Revelation. First of all, it is important to know that this is a symbolic book of the bible for the most part. You're misunderstanding harmonizes with Jesus' explanation to why he gives illustrations (Matthew 13:10-17) You don't even understand earthly things so you surely wouldn't understand heavenly things (John 3:12)

Wouldn't it be neat if "God created man in his own image" really meant that God was human in form and was literally the Father of our spirits? ...wouldn't that make him more personal? ...and that like any good parent, he wants his children to grow up and be as happy as he is? ...and since he's happy because he knows right from wrong and lives righteously, he would wants us to do the same? ...and that's what earth life is all about, learning to live righteously? ...and because we make mistakes in the learning process, he sent his son, Christ, to make it possible to return to the presence of God having done all we could to learn to live like God while in this probationary period known as life? And then, when we make it back to his presence, we could actually "grow up" to truly and literally be like him?
To answer the question, I think it's possible for God to take a compliment without getting a big head. But, I think the best way for me to worship God is to obey him, accept his Son, and follow their example of righteous living.
I think there's more to heaven than endlessly throwing out compliments to God. There's better ways of praising Him and all that he represents.

100% correct. God is a made-up projection of people's egos. The real god has nothing to do with all that ego stuff -- god is closer to the Buddhist 'Void', the substratum of Existence, and is so beyond our concept of existence that all of the concepts are silly.

Hey, be nice to god! You'll hurt his feelings! He's such a sensitive, insecure little guy. He hates it when you aren't among his billions of friends. He loves you! He loves you so much he'll damn you to an eternity in hell if you aren't his friend!

God is not a man ---He deserves to be praised...HE MADE YOU....You and everything you know would not exist if not for Him. Show a little gratitude. He is the sculptor, you are the clay. He can wad you up and throw you out if He wants to.....
