Go to a discount store (dare I say Walmart) or drug store and buy a product made for canker sores. They work best and are well worth the money for the pain and misery they will save you. You do not have to buy the most expensive, but don't get the cheapest either. Use it the rest of the day as directed, but especially before you go to bed and it will feel MUCH BETTER by morning. If not, think about seeing a doctor, because rarely it could be "something else".

Pick up some Zilactin from the pharmacy/Target/grocery store. It comes in a small tube about the size of your little finger. It'll cover the canker sore, numb it so it doesn't hurt any more, and it tastes very bitter, so if you start to bite it accidentally, you'll immediately know and stop.
It really, REALLY helps heal canker sores quickly. I've used it in the past and it's a wonderful product.

I put alum,(spell) It is found in the baking aisle in with the spices. All you need is a little bit, you put it directly onto the cancer sore, and it will make your mouth salivate, so do it over the sink. This helps your tissue in your mouth shrink, and your cancer sore disappear. You will have to do this several times. I know from experience and raising 5 children that it works. Good Luck!

Gargle with salty water or with a listerine and peroxide mix. Also there is a product by Colgate called Orabase. It works very well!

My grandmother always told me to wash my mouth out with salty water, evidently it helps to speed healing. Cheap remedy and you probably have all the ingredients you need at home already. Good Luck!

Neosporin. Go to a drugstore and ask. They're easily treatable.
