Well I sure as heck did! My parents bought cars for all of us 6 kids, and for the youngest, nice wheels. They also gave us just about anything we asked for, when they could afford it (of course they could not always afford things...we were just common redneck family). I swore I would never do that for MY kids. Well, I am eating crow left and right, lol. My kids are super spoiled even though I swore I was going to make them earn everything they got. .....Wrong!

I think the best thing to say is that we learn from our parents mistakes and don't repeat them. We aren't doomed unless we don't heed the signs.

No, I tend to look back at the things my parents did and went through, then I try approach everything from a different angle.

no- my parents taught me different- it wasn't the best, but where they went wrong I am teaching the right way to my children- so hopefully my children will be better people than me or my parents
