8 yrs old.
It'll be dead in a few short years, so skip the parvo shot. Save it some grief and you some $$
problem solved.

If your vet has not suggested stopping the yearly vaccines for parvo, you better get another vet. Most of the country has been giving it every three years for a LONG time!!!!
If it was my dog, I would never do it again!!!!!!!!
I have a 7 year old dog who got the puppy series and then the booster the year later. He got the next one three years after that and has not had one since. I have had a blood titer done on him and it is still quite high.
Do NOT vaccinate him for this!!! It is not required by law either!!!

Your vet can do a blood test to see how much tolerance he has built up to the parvo virus. If he has enough tolerance to the virus he may not need it this year. There are also other brands and types of vaccines that he might do better with. Talk to your vet about it.

I don't know what to tell I had three puppies die from Parvo, a week before they turned 6 months old. The mom's fine and so is Jake, and they were all together in the yard. Watching them die 1 by 1 was sad.

Ask you vet about doing a titer test for Parvo antibodies and if your dog has enough immunity, just pass on the vaccination if he does. ( he should)

I recently heard that the size of the dog makes a big difference. Most vets tend to give the same dose to all dogs. You should discuss this with the vet before you even allow the vet to immunize your dog!
