Tunachunks,
For a brief time, many years ago, I attended a group that met weekly for the purpose of channeling. They were older people, I mean 50's and up. They would go into trances, and let other entities speak through them. Most of the entities claimed to be deceased individuals. One or two, actually claimed to be pagan deities, Odin, for example. I was fascinated by it, and it appeared to be very authentic, since none of those who were channels, could remember even a single word of what they had spoken. Tape recorders were used, so they could listen later. Even the voices sounded nothing like those of the channelers. One night, I finally decided to give it a try. After a few minutes of trying to relax and open myself up, I started to shake, and a feeling of near ecstacy came over me. Within about two minutes, a female pastor of the local Religious Science Church, who was there that night, stepped in. She had percieved that the entities who were trying to enter me, were not there for constructive purposes. She told them to leave me, in the name of Jesus, and placed a seal (spiritually) upon me, to keep them out. Needless to say, I was a little wierded out. The tremors kept up for about an hour. I never went back after that. I have concluded that who, or whatever was entering our friends, had no business doing so. The fact that the spirits had to obey in the name of Jesus, made an impression on me. I started reading the Bible to find out more. I learned that the dead, stay in a spiritual sleep, until the judgement. It wasn't the dead who were contacting us, but decieving spirits, pretending to be them, to get us to lower our guard, and let them in. Believe what you like, and do what you like, but my advice is to avoid any and all such activities.

I absolutely disapprove of contacting the dead. I would dread contacting the dead.
I have never even seen a dead body, and I never want to contact one. I never want to be in the same room with a dead person.

As far as people who contact the dead are concerned, I don't want to be around them either. They're not dead, but they're wierd, and that's almost as bad.

Let me put it as emphatically as I can: I disaprove of contacting the dead and the weird.

Absolutely... although I have a feeling that you wanted to ask more than that... maybe about HOW you can contact the dead? Maybe you are looking for a (psychic) medium? You could contact them any number of ways -- just talk and they hear you. You could try a spirit (ouija) board, or through Tarot, or simply through meditation.

No - it's completely BS. Everyone who says they can is full of it. I watch what they do and it's ridiculous. During the phase where the information can be proven true or false, they get 'impressions' and fuzzy messages (e.g. "Her name was Agatha, Ann, Alice ... something with an A?"). Then once they have the person hooked, the people miss the fact that now their deceased loved one is talking in complete sentences about stuff, of course, that can't be proven true or false (e.g. "Well, she just told me that she loves you and she's happy and she wants you to not feel sad anymore. She knows you've been feeling sad and she is happy."). Complete and utter bulls_t.

Only and I stress only if you know what you are doing.
Spirit will not work with you anyway if you are not trying with the purest of intentions.
Unfortunately, lower life forms will want to get in touch and these are not interested in your well being. Depression, insanity and self destruction can result from uninformed "meddling" in the spirit realms.

Don't become breakfast, dinner and tea for one of these energy vampires, leave well alone.

Love and light

Yes...Contact and communicate with in some form. Not have a conversation with.

I have had an experience once, but it scared me. After that night, I've never been able to do it again.

The dead will contact you when they are ready. I stopped trying years ago because I realised that demons are always waiting to pounce and they are hard to get rid of if you don't know what you are doing

There could first could be a soul for there to be any ghosts. yet believing in souls is like believing in magic; this is baseless. Your concepts contains all your character. that's why human beings's personalities exchange after a stroke, labotomy, a lot of LSD, or different concepts-changing experience.
