Hi there. I have a lil' crush on my co-worker, and I'm convinced he's interested in me, but I have a slight problem. I am the BOSS's daughter! How do you tactfully ask a co-worker out, and let him know that his job is safe, that my parents' aren't going to fire him if things don't work out? I don't want to boldy come out and say that, because I fear that it'll scare him of.

Thanks for the help!
:-)

I am not a spiteful person, and I would guarentee that his job would not be lost.

I used to be in love with a co-worker. I used to ring her up with a question about work and after she answered the question we'd talk on the phone for hours about everything but work.

I'd ring her up with the most ridiculous questions about work, even things I knew that she knew full well that I knew the answer to, but that wasn't the point. I'd just find excuses to call her for work reasons and go from there. Then I started calling her up for work reasons and she was like lets just catch up someplace and we'll talk about it there. And of course we met up there but oddly enough work never came up (lol).

Then we were just dating. We didn't even bother making excuses anymore to hide it from the other workers. It was funny because after we started going out all of her friends said to her it's about time you two got together and my friends said the same thing to me. They actually knew we would end up together before I even started calling her! (lol)

Well that's my story. The ringing up about work stuff and then talking about other stuff afterwards worked for me. Use this trick wisely lol.

Mixing business with pleasure could get the co-worker fired if it doesn't work out... rethink dating the person.

Don't date a co-worker. Most of the time it turns ugly.

You don't know they won't fire him.
Ask him to go out to lunch with you, and then say you'd like to make him dinner some night. Give him a big hug and kiss on the cheek when he leaves and see where he goes with it.

Walk up and ask if he would join you for a drink after work, see if he will go. If he's into you, he will wish the day was already over, ask him now, before he makes plans for something else.

Now, go.

Not a good idea. If something goes wrong you have to see them every day. Plus you could get into trouble for harassment if it turns out really bad...

just be your self and tell him how you realy feel about him if he feel the same way i don't think there should be a problem weather he's a co, worker or not it feeling work shouldn't get in the way.

I think if you both are interested in each other you should go out. And from day one be honest about his job safety.
