Personally I think Jesus shouldn't come back today. People shouldn't rely on someone else to solve all our problems. We should try to solve all these problems ourselves. I know it seems overwhelming what with all the violence and cruelty in the world. But I think if people stand up and take responsibility for their own actions and try their best to make the world a better place things would improve dramatically. But that's just me.

Would all religions fight for him??
There is only one religion that ever fought for (or in the name of) Jesus, that's the Christians, they believe that Jesus was and still is God (among many other things)!
Religion is obviously not the cause of all the worlds problems, but it certainly goes a very long way in fuelling whatever the main problems are don't you think?
Despite reading volumes about Jesus I still have doubts about his actual existence , forget the New Testament, that for sure is complete BS!
I am willing to believe there was a man who was against some of the teachings taken from the Old Testament , he actually went out of his way to fulfil the prophesies of the Old Testament about the coming of the Messiah!
Shouldnt we be following this guys example? was part of your question.
My answer has got to be no, we should not be trying to re interpret the bible,(old or new) we should be striving to get rid of all religions, and all the religious trappings! That may not end all wars, but it would certainly go a very long way to reduce them!

If he came to England he'd probably go unoticed as every one seems to keep themselves to themselves or they'd think he was a nutter - and if the guy was walking with the downtrodden and women of the night all religions would stay away from him anyway thinking he's a pimp or a down and out.

If you believe in Jesus you have to consider what he did for the world when he was "last" here - he certainly did not unify the world, so why should he if he were to return? Anyone who promotes one set of beliefs at the expense of others is more likely to divide the world.

He'd probably walk around the middle east trying to persuade the different groups to stop killing each other. He would almost certainly be shot or blown up by the Israelis, Hezbollah or Iraqi sects.

Wouldn't it be great if somebody could make sense of the world's mess? But people like to fight and get into power struggles. I doubt that anybody would listen, anyway ... or the one who do listen will only assert themselves into assuming they are in a special army.

If i woke one morning to be told Jesus was back on earth, i would know that the end really was nigh. We would all have to stand up and proclaim who we worship. Those who deny Jesus and his father, will be cast out, those who claim to love him will be ready to die for him. Those of no religion will be the people who do the killing because they will be the anti Christ's. So i dont think he would do anything. Its up to you to decide if your a Christian or not. Or as they say, "Prepare to meet thy maker"

jesus left the church so we could walk with the poor and needy, the ones that society casts out. if jesus comes back it's the end, no more second chances. christians are supposed to be a reflection of god on earth

Giving followers the benefit of the doubt, how real is the Jesus we are supposed to believe existed, and how much is distortion?
The more it is distorted, the more the cause is lost.
