Are you putting your faith in God or in man's interpretation of His message?

And if you wouldn't believe in a man who claimed to be Jesus, how can you believe in men who claimed to be spoken to by His Father?

He did that the first time around and they crucified him, changed his message, and wrote a sequel (New Testament) making him out to be something completely different than what he was. The same is true today: ask any fundie to question and they react in anger and call you an atheist, commie, lib, etc. They would most CERTAINLY reject Jesus if he came back today -- in fact, they do it ALL THE TIME with anyone who tries to tell others about God's Unconditional Love and how the concepts of hell, guilt, sin, judgment are not of god.

Jesus is the Word of God, so He wouldn't step down from Heaven and say that.

Jesus Himself quoted the Scriptures, and said this about them, "For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not one letter or one stroke of a letter will disappear from the Law until everything has been accomplished. So whoever sets aside one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 5:18-19)

And, as Paul teaches, "This saying is trustworthy: In dying with Christ, true life we gain. Enduring, we with him shall reign. Who him denies, he will disclaim. Our faith may fail, his never wanes- For thus he is, he cannot change!" (II Timothy 2:11-13)

Thus, you are setting up an imaginary situation. In the end of times, there will be a deceiver that comes. He will destroy the faith of many. Could he claim that he is Christ Himself? Absolutely. Jesus said this would be the case: "For false christs and false prophets will appear and display great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. Remember, I have told you this beforehand." (Matthew 24:24-25)

I did not even own a Bible on the day of my Salvation... when I read the bible today it confirms what was given to me in The Truth of My Salvation... The "bibles" we have today are not inerrent... man has been messing up the text for a long time...and none of the original text that was given the original scribes by God exists today... Jesus will come to earth one day and tell us exactly what The Word is... untill then, we Who read by faith know that, only with The leading of The Holy Spirit can any of God's truth be found....

If Jesus himself came down and said that, it wouldnt be hard to believe. Most christians read the King James Bible, or something similar. What they dont know is that it is called that because King james, and many other people that have translated the bible have made changes to it. In reality, it is a very different piece of literature than what we read today. go to a local librar and pick up "misquoting jesus". that should explain a lot.

That wouldn't happen. The Bible (God's inspired Word) warns of false teachers who (if possible) would deceive even the believers.

if he literally steped down from heaven -- YES
Or if I saw him do miracles -- YES
otherwise NO - he would just be a man
I think there are a lot of man made tales in the bible that i don't believe at all

Yes. Then I'll ask Him why He made that statement and point out which part/s in the Bible were wrong.

First, you will have to prove whether it's Jesus who stepped down from Heaven or the Devil who stepped up from Hell.
