Why did God make his word so hard to understand?
Why should I accept your favorite interpretation as being correct?
Why not just study nature instead, as science does? There is, after all, no chance that nature is a fraud.

Or if one does study the bible, why not allow multiple interpretations? But I suppose that's not the way it works. Yeah, I'll go with nature. Beautiful nature and science. :)

I believe The Bible is a very important SPIRITUAL tool to get closer to God. The problem with our current reading of The Bible is that it was written in terms that people 5,000 years ago (old testament) would understand that is why it needs extensive interpretation.
Science gives us the answer to the HOW of the Universe, not the WHY.

God didn't make his word hard to understand. God didn't write the bible, people did. People can barely explain their own feelings and motives for doing things, much less explain what they barely understand.
Everyone is entitled to accept his/her own interpretation as long as he/she stipulates that it's a personal one.
There is a lot of things in nature that can not be explained. Try explaining the platypus.

I believe the Bible because His Holy Spirit has shown me the true meaning of what He is saying. There have been times when I have read the bible and its in one ear out the other because it was boring to be honest but when the Holy Spirit opens your eyes to see its like whoa I didn't see that before?! I can't tell you how to read it, its just that I wanted my eyes to be opened to the truth. I enjoy nature very much it calms me when life is hard.

See the bible was written by man not God, Christianity was made by man, not God. Religion is created by man, not God. God is made by man.
