Sounds like I'm an idiot, right? But, do I boil the water first? How long do they need to be cooked? How can I get the shell to come off easily...(I hate when they stick to the white!). I swear, I'm not a moron........really!

Start water on burner with eggs in the water. Bring to boil and remove from heat and let sit with lid on pan for 20 minutes. Then set eggs in cool water and let eggs cool down completely. Then shell should remove easily.

10points right here.

Place the eggs in a saucepan.
Fill the pan with water until the eggs are covered.
Bring to the boil.
Then simmer for six minutes for a soft boiled egg, seven if you want a hard boiled egg.
Drain off the water then fill the saucepan with cold water. Leave the eggs to stand for a few minutes, the shell should then come of easily.
Hope that helps.

The below works great:

1. Place eggs in a saucepan with enough COLD tap water to cover completely by 1 inch. Bring to a ROLLING boil over HIGH heat. Once the water is brought to a rolling boil, PROMPTLY reduce heat to a lower medium boil and cook an additional 10 minutes for a “hard boiled” egg. For a “soft boiled” egg reduce the time by a few minutes.

2. Remove from heat and IMMEDIATELY place eggs under ice cold water or in a bowl of ICED water to chill promptly to help yolks stay bright yellow. Chill for a few minutes in the cold water until the egg is completely cooled. This is an extremely important step which prevents the greenish “ring” from forming on the surface of the yolk over time. If the egg is not chilled immediately after cooking an unsightly dark greenish ring will eventually appear on the outside of the yolk.

3. To peel...crack on all sides, roll egg between hands to loosen shell, and remove shell. Enjoy while still warm, with a light sprinkling of salt if desired.

Fill a quart pan half full with water.

Gently put the eggs in the pan.

Put the pan on a stove.

Turn on the heat.

Bring the water to a boil for about 6 minutes.

Once they are cooked pour the hot water into your sink.

Run cold water over the eggs and let them sit for about 1 minute.

The shells should peel without sticking to the white part.

Good Luck

Put them in water above the eggs, they'll float a little bit. Turn the heat high. When its boiling, let it go for like 5-10 more minutes. Then remove them from the hot water and put them in ice water, and keep icing and cooling it for like 10-15 minutes. This should make the eggs inside come apart from the shell. Crack along the egg vertically (from top to bottom not side to side) and the shell should come off easier.

I frequently do 8-10 minutes. I ought to upload you'd be desiring to positioned the eggs in the water and then deliver it to a boil. this may look like basic experience yet i recognize those who've dropped eggs into boiling water and wondered why their eggs were exploding. So. Yeah.

place ur eggs in the pot first. fill with cold water until eggs r covered. high heat until they start to boil, then time it 10 minutes from the start of rapid boiling. then drain water from pot, add cold water and let the pot sit in the sink until eggs r cool to the touch. this should solve the shell sticking problem.

a good way to tell if an egg is completely hard boiled is to spin it whilst in it's shell. if it spins quickly and evenly like when spinning a quarter, it's hard boiled. under cooked and raw eggs won't spin. they turn sloppy and r all over the place. hard boiled eggs have a neat unifromed spin. try it. good luck

Put eggs in sturdy saucepan or pot.
Fill the pot with cold water, making sure to cover the eggs completely.
Place pot on burner and turn heat all the way to HIGH.
Bring the water to a full boil, let it boil for about two minutes.
Take the pot off the burner, cover and let it sit for 15 minutes more.
Rinse the eggs in cold water, and when you peel them, try doing it under running water if your shells stick.
This process also prevents those ugly green rings around the yolk (caused by overcooking).

Best way to boil an egg or eggs is to put the eggs in and let it boil for just a few minutes. Cut it off but keep it on the hot burner covered for about 20 minutes. This way , they never crack and turn out perfect.

You boil the water first. Then you put in the egg. For how long depends on how well done you want the yoke. I like 10 minutes. Run the egg under cold water to peel easier.

cover cold eggs in warm/hot water from the tap. while that's sitting, put some water on stove to boil. use a spoon or something to gently put the eggs into the water (dont' drop it hard or it'll crack!). lower the heat to medium, and wait 8-10 minutes. turn off the heat, but let the eggs sit in the hot water for 2-5 minutes. then wash in the sink w/ cold water and de-shell. good luck!
