how do i achieve this when i am a british citizen and currently working in the british armed forces???? could anybody help

First you must join the police force...then you apply for special training. Then, you go from there.

If I understand your question correctly you want to become a SWAT member in the US.
If this is true a good place to start would to become an American citizen.
It would not hurt to have some Law Enforcement training while you are still in the British Armed Forces.

first, as I understand you want to become SWAT in the US. As stated earlier, get your citizenship over here, apply to some of the larger departments in the US who have SWAT teams. Once accepted for employment, after your initial training period (usually 1 year for civil service), express a desire to become a SWAT team member. If accepted, prepare for some very hard work to become and maintain your membership in the elite squad. As the od saying goes," When the citizens need help, they call the police, when the police need help, they call SWAT,".
