I once heard a story about a young guy in the late 1800's or early 1900's who approached a well-known businessman offering his services as a consultant. He gave the businessman 1 piece of advice for free, telling him to test it out by applying it to his life. Then, he could send the young consultant a check for whatever he felt the advice was worth. The well-known businessman said that it was the most valuable piece of advice he had ever been given, and sent the young consultant a huge check.

I NEED to find out where this story came from for a report that will be sent to hundreds of people. Can you guys help me out here? Where did I read this story?

I would verify it at www.truthorfiction.com or www.snopes.com. Both sites research all kinds of stories, legends, offers, you name it. You may have to type in several ways of wording it before you get a "hit" on an answer, but you'll find it.

You'll also find out where the story originated and whether or not it's true, as well as other versions of the same story that may be circulating!

Good luck!
