When Jesus comes again to do the rapture thingie, he will resurrect the bodies of those who died in a state of grace and reunite them as glorified bodies with the spirits of the saints in the air. When he takes the believer's heart out of the unbeliever in a twinkling of an eye, won't that kill the now heartless unbeliever? I heard that some Christians take this so seriously that they will not allow there organs to be donated when they die to unbelievers.

I don't think so. If you are going to say that the heart would leave what about people were killed instantly and their bodies burned on September 11? The dead in Christ rise first in the rapture. What if the body has totally been disintegrated?

I don't think that a non-believer's body would have to reject a Christian's heart. For one thing having one more day to live might make the difference of where they spend eternity.

This is a very interesting question. My first guess is no, because the believer is in the soul, not in physical organs of the body, although there are several connections to the heart, I think that your religion is in your mind, not a muscle that pumps blood. Therefore, I say no, let the non-believer keep the heart, you won't be needing it in heaven anyway!

It would kinda be cool for someone's heart to just disappear though wouldn't it? haha it just floats up to the sky... yeah well anyway.

I'd say no.

stupid...do you somewhat imagine any area of your actual body is going to go back and forth with you to the different aspect? Christians are already reborn, born back, they don't wait to die back, they commence the following and now...with a clean commence, an wakened soul, a clean relationship and a promise it really is eternal. It has no longer something in any thanks to do with body factors, mind, heart or which temple you attend.

I wouldn't be so worried about it as a Christian, but I hope I don't get a Christian heart as an unbeliever!!

Man that would suck!

Their BODY would REJECT the heart. A BELIEVER's HEART would not be allowed to SURVIVE inside of a non-believer. GOD would not ALLOW a pure heart to be TAINTED!

That's why I am NOT an ORGAN DONOR!

According to scripture (and I am not referring to any one version of the bible here) it is the soul of the people is what is taken during the rapture, not their "earthly possessions". And as I see it your body (and all of its organs within) are earthly possessions.

I find it truly frightening that people are so superstitious that they would believe something like that. Then again, these people are pretty damn scary to begin with.
