It never does - it's the word of man, making up a fairy tale.

I agree with Lasermouse. The Bible was written hundreds to THOUSANDS of years after Christ walked the earth. These stories were passed down by word of mouth first. Man initally wrote the Bible, so we dont know how much of it is true.
I am Christian, although fundy's wouldnt say that because of their rules and regulations.
but if you think about it, the Bible has some great lessons in it. I see nothing wrong with going by it. However you have to remember that there is no way a human could have wrote it without putting their own belief spin on it.

This is a quote out of the Book of Mormon in Moroni chapter 10.
3 Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts.
4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.
5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.
We believe the Bible and the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. We can find out for ourselves if anything is true by following this guideline. Read, study, pray, have faith, and listen. God will let you know through the Holy Ghost if it is true.
In Galatians ch. 5 we learn how the Holy Ghost, or the Spirit, communicates with us.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Well, the logical mind would seek the one that is most scientifically and historically accurate. To date, I've found the bible to be the most convincing on this front.
Even if the bible declares itself the "Word of God" it would be circular reasoning. The message of the bible speaks for itself and does so accurately.
If people had read their bibles they's have known the earth was round 2000+ years ago.

1 Corinthians 14:36Â What? Was it from YOU that the word of God came forth, or was it only as far as YOU that it reached?
37Â If anyone thinks he is a prophet or gifted with the spirit, let him acknowledge the things I am writing to YOU, because they are the Lord’s commandment. 38Â But if anyone is ignorant, he continues ignorant.
Hebrews 4:12Â For the word of God is alive and exerts power and is sharper than any two-edged sword and pierces even to the dividing of soul and spirit, and of joints and [their] marrow, and [is] able to discern thoughts and intentions of [the] heart. 13Â And there is not a creation that is not manifest to his sight, but all things are naked and openly exposed to the eyes of him with whom we have an accounting

BIBLE = WORD OF GOD
It doesn't say specifically Bible = Word of God, but when you open the Bible up; it says this:
Luke 4:4 = "And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God."
Matt.4:4 = "But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."
Heb.4:12 = "For the word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing
asunder of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
1Cor.14:36 = "What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?"
Acts 11:1 = "And the apostles and brethren that were in Judea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God."
1Thess.2:13 = "For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe."
Rev.17:17 = "For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled."
Proverbs 30:5 = "Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him."
Mark 7:13 = "Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye. "
Luke 3:2 = "Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness. "
Luke 5:1 = "And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret, ..."
Luke 8:11 = "Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. "
Luke 8:21 = "And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it."
Luke 11:28 = "But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. "
John 10:35 = "If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; ..."
Acts 4:31 = "And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness."
Acts 6:2 = "Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables. "

You can accept anything you want to; but I would be careful of which one you choose. Everyone has a choice; that's why God makes you to choose. There is a right way and there is a wrong way. I hope you choose the right way; the Bible.

It is physically for humanity to perfectly copy down the Word of God. ALL religious books are flawed, simply because they were written by man. NO religious book is perfect.
